"Back in 2014, I swapped my morning coffee for a simple cup of Rooibos. That moment sparked my curiosity about the benefits of this South African treasure. Years later, during the challenging period of the pandemic, Rooibos became more than just a beverage; it was an inspiration not only for finding calm and well-being, but also for conceiving this new venture.
The very packaging of our tea is inspired by the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets of South Africa that I witnessed during a visit to the tea plantations – a daily spectacle of beauty that now graces your cup. Just as Sir Francis Drake marvelled at the beauty of the Cape of Good Hope in 1580, calling it "the fairest cape in the whole circumference of the Earth", I have marvelled at the benefits of Rooibos: naturally sweet, caffeine-free, and packed with antioxidants that promote good health.

"I had my first cup of Rooibos tea in Cape Town, South Africa back in 1996, and I was hooked. Like many Americans, I wasn’t big on tea. But South Africans were avid tea drinkers, and I was offered a cup of Rooibos almost immediately. What captivated me about that first cup was the fact that the flavors were bold, sweet, and soothing. I learned to add a slice of lemon to my cup, and my new favorite hot drink was complete. Sure, I enjoy my coffee in the morning, but my afternoons and evenings are set aside for a nice hot cup of Rooibos. Being naturally caffeine-free and bursting with antioxidants puts my mind at ease while I’m winding down. During the summer months, I love mixing the Cold Water Soluble Extract Powder with ice water and lemon to make a thirst-quenching and hydrating Rooibos iced tea! I am very excited, alongside my wife Kissila, to bring our highest quality and specially sourced tea to the USA and beyond. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!"
